Busy

Freelance work is piling up yet again. I'm going to be working on the comic alternately with the work, though. Maybe a daily schedule type thing.
The other day I decided to do all of my Christmas shopping in one trip to the mall. In addition to the all-in-one shopping task, I discovered that I had to get the "E-check" for my car (in order to renew registration tags) and make a trip to the bank.
Strangely enough, I was able to go to the bank, get my e-check done, pay and mail the bills at the post office, finish all of my Christmas shopping, wrap ALL of the gifts, and even go to the grocery all in less than 4 hours.
I think it's because there are so fewer distractions when I'm away from the computer.

Regular schedule

NEW UPDATE:
Tomorrow's video shoot is cancelled, so I'll have time to work on this tomorrow. The raw storyboard art is up, but I still have to finish inking and coloring.
Work still takes priority, but trust me - I want to do this comic. :)

I'm shooting for keeping a regular "updated-on-Monday" schedule, but that's more likely once I've gotten into the regular rhythm of updating.

Server changes

There will be some work on the way the site is configured on the web server today (and perhaps tomorrow), so there may be some brief down time.

If the site doesn't load, don't worry, it will be back shortly.

Good To Be Back

It's nice to get back to the old comic and stuff.

As for the job situation, that's a bit uncertain right now - I'm not sure if I'll be returning to the company I worked for earlier, or if I'll need to keep looking. At any rate, there's a few things I'm wrapping up.

Tomorrow, I'm re-shooting some video at a recording studio, and Thursday is dedicated to finishing a long-delayed web site project. I'm shooting for getting page 112 of 2214 finished by the weekend. Speaking of, I'm looking at a regular update schedule on Sundays, unless my full-time job requires me to work some weekends (which is fine, especially if my potential employer is reading this!)

After considering the whole B&W; versus color thing for new pages, I've decided to experiment with both, depending on the page.

I really need to start working with a regular schedule here...

On a final note: I finally posted some of the art I did back in June, when I was undergoing intensive art and anatomy drawing training.

Revival!

It's coming back. Time permitting, I'll start updating 2214 again. As a matter of fact, it's more or less a sure thing this time.

I'm changing jobs here soon and will have a regular schedule to work with. That means I'll be fairly certain as to exactly when I'll be able to work on 2214. Full-time job comes first, of course, but there's more stability now. I'm not sure if I got the job I applied for yet, but if not, I'll still be changing directions job-wise.

Looking at some of the older pages, I noticed the ones done in greyscale look cooler for some reason. It's a mystery. Therefore, I will be drawing some pages in good old black and white, and others in full color, depending on the page. It's a way to mix things up and spice up the comic a bit.

So... the whole "no more updates" thing is over. I'll keep posting news as to the developments around 2214's revival.

No More Site Updates

Since I'm still using this hosting account for other stuff, I can leave this site up for archival purposes. It's certainly not taking up too much space in my account, so it's not a problem.

The art, music, etc. will all remain here as it is. However, I won't be adding any new features or content to this site.

Time to be honest

To tell the truth, I meant to get 2214 going again, but realistically, after three months of good intentions, it didn't happen.

So... instead of leading everyone on like that, I'll just officially announce that the comic is on permanent hold.

In other words, it's discontinued.

Easter Eggs

After fixing the missing jpeg comic problem, I did some experimenting with audio. Additionally, I've been getting back up to speed with drawing, and page 112 should be done tonight.

Start looking for strange things in the comic - to make it more interesting, I might hide data encoded in the image, such as audio and other data. I'll leave it up to you to figure out how to extract and decode it ;)
